Why? He has "stellar" defense, and the outfield may be a logjam, why would he be moved there?

He's pretty raw on defense and there is talk that he may one day turn into a pretty damn good CF prospect with his speed, range, and arm.

I've seen him play in person a decent amount. He's a nice short stop but if he grows up and fills in he could most definitely be a CF'er.

Plus 2B is loaded right now with some good talent. LaMehieu, Watkins, Lee(if Castro stays at SS), etc. Someone will have to move eventually...Lee makes more sense than DJ going to first as I don't think he will ever have the power numbers offensively to be a 1B in the NL.
