Meh. He's no Johnny Toews, that's for sure. Don't get me wrong though, Ovechkin is still one of the premier one-way forwards in the league.

Pretty sad when AHL teams get bigger crowds than the Panthers.

8,000 "paid" attendance last night vs Minny.

Heard by the Hawks update crew, Brian Elliot got hurt for St. Louis... But the real story is Marty Brodeur apparently is lacing it up and joining them.

The Panthers are pretty much the unofficial team for the Hawks anyway.

That will surely propel them to the Cup, just like adding Miller did. Wait......

Oh God I hope the Hawks get to face Brodeur at least once. They'll light his old ass up like a Christmas tree.

Heh, the last few times I saw him play he sure didn't look like Martin Brodeur to me. Initial reaction was that the Miller trade was a blockbuster move for the Blues....didn't work out that way. While this looks like a real stretch....you just never know how things will play out.

Reportedly, the Blues intend to split playing time between he and Jake Allen. Which is fucking great for the Hawks, because Brodeur blows.

The Art Ross race is going to be awesome this year.

So hilarious that the Bruins gave up Seguin.

Hahaha and the Blues traded him. Jackasses.

Yeah, what a bizarre sequence. They move him and others plus a few draft picks for Miller....THEN don't resign him. Basically, gave up like 4 or 5 players for a guy that played maybe 2 months of hockey. How did that GM keep his job?

Barry Melrose likened him to Joe Dimaggio of hockey. Talked of his class and elegance and, oh yeah, TEN cups.

It's been awhile since I've had my hands on the cup, but if my memory serves me his name is on there at least 900 times...
