Any thoughts on who might take Boozer?

Orlando?
Miami?
Charlotte?
Minnesota (if they trade Love)
LA Lakers

Ideally it would be New York in a sign and trade for Carmelo.

I can see the Heat so that they can stay somewhat competitive. Also, I think Cleveland has their 1st next year. Or is it protected?

Why the Sixers?

I can see 12 teams. 4 of those, not Charlotte but adding Phoenix, Phil, Mil, Det, Bos, Atl, Brooklyn, Sacramento.

All could probably use Boozer as he'd be an improvement over what they have or they drafted a project 4, some have cap space to take him, some have few players on their roster to even trade and some don't have much to offer that would be attractive. I don't see any team taking his salary in a back up role.

The Heat and Lakers could use Carlos to fill big holes but they don't have many players to send anywhere in return. Sacramento and Toronto could use him but who could they give up. For most of those teams the players they would be looking to trade would be in the $3-8 million range so they would have to move at least 2 of them to match Boozer's salary.

Teams with space to absorb the contract without having to give money back.

Minnesota, yeah. Lakers, yeah. Don't think the others. I also think that Houston might because when his contract ends, they could be well set up cap wise in 2016 if they want to make a run at Love.
