I'm somewhat relieved. Let me explain. I love Melo's game. And I think he would have fit perfectly with what the Bulls have as far as a team and what they need from him. Scoring. They didn't need him to shut guys down, just light it up. But, now that he's not coming here i'm kind of relieved because I didn't feel comfortable giving a 30 year old a 5 year deal worth 130 (sign and trade would probably have been the only way we would have got him but that's another story). Most players prime years end around 32 and then there is a fall off. Look at Wade. Yes, he had lingering knee issues but that's what happens. Only a few great players have reduced the fall of skills that comes with age ( Jordan and Kobe come to mind) and god forbid his decline would have been steep we would have owed him a shit load of money. Anyways, Go Bulls.
