Remember, no state tax in Florida. Making $10 million a year in Miami is like making $11 million a year here. Factor in the weather, female talent and nightlife, Deng did just fine. Atlanta would have given him even more.

Either way, the Miami Heat were able to keep themselves a playoff team. They shouldnt be championship caliber at all anymore.

Everything changed when they offered Bosh that 5th year. Riley knew giving him as much money as possible for as long as possible is the only thing that would keep that team together. They were 1 Bosh to Houston away from paying Deng 15M a year.
