#Blackhawks have hired Kevin Dineen as an assistant coach. He led the Canadian women’s national team to a gold medal at the 2014 Olympics

Playing almost entirely on the east coast, I didn't see him play a lot but I do remember him being a big PP guy. New coach for the PP?

Considering his role was basically the screener guy -maybe he can impress that more upon Bickell (not that I don't think that Bickell doesn't get it - but rather, it might be more of a refinement type of thing.). Same thing for Shaw I think ... leastwise that is what I remember most about Kevin Dineen in the 80's. I think he had a pretty solid reputation as a player (on and off the ice).

Also coached the Panthers to their last division title (although a very pathetic southeast) his first year there before the wheels came off.
