I know some Hawks fans I've interacted with on Twitter as well as the guys over at The Committed Indian are fully convinced that he's going to be a Hawk this upcoming season.

Here's a story on him from last week's Prospect Camp

I've seen very limited footage of him playing, mainly at the World Juniors and a few of his games at Notre Dame.

Anyone see him play more and have additional thoughts?

He needs a year of seasoning in the AHL. I like what he brings to the table though. Not sure how his skating will fit into the uptempo game the Hawks like to play.

Reminds me of Marchment.

Willing to sacrifice position to give a huge hit. In the limited number of ND games I have seen, he has a lot of dirty in his game. It remains to be seen if he is a tough as Marchment was, but the guy was a huge presence on the blue line. Other teams have to keep their head up when he's on the ice.

I think it's a key point to note Dahlbeck isn't at prospect camp. I think he currently sits #1 of the Rockford D. Johns probably gets a pro year and rises next year once Oduya leaves.
