When he gets 60 to match his 600 AB's then he is where he needs to be.

Still a step is good.

Speaking of career highs, with his hr tonight Rizzo now has matched last year's HR total in 97 games. At this rate he's probably going to hit over 35.

Also, I love me some Hendricks and all but damn man.... 6 innings and 67 pitches? That's the kind of start you want.

Rizzo goes deep twice. Alcantara goes deep. Castro missed one by a cunt hair. This team only scores when these guys perform. I cant wait for the thunder to come.

Bonifacio: 2/4
Alcantara: 1/3 HR BB
Rizzo 2/4 2 HR
Castro 1/3 1 BB
Ruggiano 2/3 2 RBI
Castillo 2/4 1 RBI
Lake 0/4 2 SO
Olt 0/3 3 SO

Swear Olt and Lake are useless.

But looks like they made a good choice with Hendricks'7 IP 5 Hits 3 BB 5 SO 0 ER's.

83 pitches to get 7 IP. Very efficent

Padres are a bad offensive team, but was a very good outing.

1.14 WHIP for the game. He sustains that it should lead to success regardless of the O.

So after today, I believe Rizzo is 4th in the majors in HRs behind Abreu, Encarnacion, and Cruz with Abreu leading with 29 to Rizzo's now 25. All and all it's a pretty fantastic year for him. He's also 13th in the majors in wRC+.

Over/under on 40?

I legitimately believe, if health permits, of course, he should eclipse the 40 plateau this year. Can you believe the Cubs haven't had a 40 HR season since DLee had 46 in '05? Kinda crazy... Almost a decade.

Cubs will have some serious power in their lineup in 1-2 years.

Rizzo looks like he could hit 35-40 and will likely improve
Castro looks like he could hit 20+ as a SS
Alcantara while small could be a guy that hits 15 or so HR
Then Bryant, Baez, and Soler all have crazy power as well

When he gets 60 to match his 600 AB's then he is where he needs to be.

Still a step is good.

12.6% in July

My money would be on 35+ but the way he's hit the past month who knows. If he continues that you could be talking 45-50.
