this could get interesting. top mlb PROVEN mlb players....you were to deal one of your top guys (sox/cubs) what would you want in return? typically guys under contract.

sale,abreu,quintana,ramirez,gillaspie,eaton

arrieta,rizzo,castro,castillo

this is for both sides. guys like johnson,wilkins,baez do NOT count as mlb PROVEN players. keep that in mind when proposing a deal.

add to the list if you think someone is missing.

Johnson and Wilkins for Rizzo. Move Abreu to DH and have Rizzo play 1b.

Even if Matt Millen was the Cubs GM, he wouldn't make that trade. Reality is a terrible thing to waste. Or, in the future, use green font.:smug2:

Agree and id pass. Rodon is a rotation guy asap. I like rizzo but he plays first. That hurts his value even if he's the best because there are so many great first sackers

so you still pass on castro? i know i wouldnt give up rodon,wilkins,and johnson for him. id like him more at 2b with aram still jocking ss imo

The reason I :puke: is his defense and mental lapses. Plus I like our infielders that we have with sanchez semien Johnson Guery. Is he better? Most certainly but we have other needs that are more pressing. I pass on Castro.

LOL this is kinda dumb. No offense but if you think the Cubs would trade Rizzo for any Sox prospects you are an idiot or just kidding yourself. Especially if Rodon isn't available

Probably would not land Castro without Rodon either.
