I can almost guarantee Jay can throw a spiral no matter where his hands are on the ball. I know I can. I played some QB in my days and sometimes you get in such a hurry you don't have time to throw it right.

I could be mistaken, but I believe most quarterbacks don't hold the ball on the laces.

The other day, I exchanged $5 for a footlong meatball marinara at a Subway.
After getting home and eating the sandwich, I scratched a lottery ticket and won $50.
I used that $50 to buy a really nice steak dinner.

Quarterbacks often don't grip the laces before throwing a quick slant. Could be what Cutler is practicing here.

I was thinking the same thing until I googled Manning who gets the ball out faster than any other QB in the NFL and always has his fingers on the laces.
