I wanted the team to win the World Series. That isn't happening this year.

When it does, we know you'll find something negative about it.

Seven games??? They should have done it in six!

So what if Baez has a rough go and gives Mike Olt/Darwin barney production these last 45 or so games? Then next year as seems to be the pattern he has a bad April and potential May. Now what?

I imagine he'll struggle some, as Alcantara has.

But I will bet any amount of money you want that he doesn't have "Olt/Barney production."

And even with Alcantara batting .250, it's easy to see how much more talent he has than Barney. Same will be true of Baez.

Too early on Alcantra. Im thinkng free swingers who struggle always do like Olt

And I do want baez to succeed. Helps my shop

Are you suggesting 2 months time will be enough to determine a failure, and, therefore pursue someone at the same position??

God, i would certainly hope not.
I think he saying what I said not long ago...

Pretty much .. get these 4 kids up now ( baez alcantara soler bryant ) to get their feet wet and and gain their experience so that in the off season they ( cubs ) could focus more on who to add around them ( pitchers, veteran back up) and not waste time on fillers.

One other advantage of getting them up now is they can see what kind of adjustment they will need to make and work on it in off season.

I'm not the one who whines and criticizes every move.

Can you stop trying to be KB? You're really bad at it. You're not meant to be a troll Fisher, you're just a volume poster.

I would run Cog/Alcantara/Baez/Rizzo/Castro/Valbuena/Ruggiano/Castillo

Post all star OBA:
Rizzo .440
Cog .407
Sweeney .375
Castro .338
Valbuena .327
Alcantara .299
Ruggiano .229
Lake .214
Baker .174
Schierholtz .167

Almost tempting to plug Sweeney vs Ruggiano. OBA is playing better for Sweeney lately.

Makes you wonder if this was a order by the Rickett's to get a attendance spike when they hit town. Few days in Col to adjust to it and then see sell outs for the year.

This move feels unexpected.

Ricketts was like "If you can't find me that arm, you'll be selling wieners in the nose-bleed section"
