Should there be an age limit on qualifying for rookie of the year?

The thread title speaks for itself. Sure it becomes a sliding scale but is it really appropriate for 27 year old players to be lumped in with guys in their early 20s? Whether it's Abreu or Tanaka, it's somewhat laughable.

I think more then their age is that most of those players been basically playing professional ball in their country before coming over, especially the Japanese players.
Gives them some advantage over kids coming up through the system.

They probably wont do an age limit, if they make any changes to the qualification it could be certain number of years of international professional experience..

I don't think it really matters that much. Honestly most years there's only 1 or 2 guys even worth mentioning from either league.

I do think there should be an IQ limit, imo. But I guess I understand that would eliminate Brett and Dewsbag from the convo.
