That's why I had SF as my team that WON'T make the playoffs this season.
Their offense has looked like crap. Kaep is just not a reliable passer and they've lost a few players on that great D.
Plus, insane division (although STL just got worse with Bradford going down).
Also, bitch of schedule. In addition to their difficult 6 division games, they have Bears, Eagles, Chiefs, @ Broncos, @ NO and Chargers.

I'm telling ya man. I think the Bears actually have a chance to either win or at least cover the point spread, for anyone placing bets on a good longshot vs SF. Losing Smith & Bowman are huge losses. You cannot a pass rushing LEO/OLB like Smith out of that defense, let alone one of the best ILB's in the league with Bowman. They are going to have some vulnerabilities.
If I were going to bet on a Bears game with them as a longshot with a nice payoff this would have to be it. Thing is even without Smith & Bowman SF is still a very deep team, that being said I'd take the Bears & the points if they are big underdogs.

Smith is a huge loss he was there most consistent pass rusher. 9ers have plenty of depth with pure LB to cover for Bowman.
They also lost there DT Glenn Dorsey.
