Alot of people have different criteria for what makes a player great, but we can all get down with some serious footbaw talk about who the BEST is. So I made a poll. Let's cast some votes and see which BEAR IS BEST!

I am being serious for once because I value our Bears players that we all support.

Brandon Marshall, and not just because he is a snappy dresser.

Really, it's pretty obvious that Marshall and Forte are the two best football players on the team. Coming off a 3 TD game, Marshall is going to romp this poll. On another week it might be closer.

Regardless of the order, it's those two first. The real arguments happen after them (Jeffery/Ratliff/Briggs/Slausen etc).

Gould is awesome but I can't compare specialists to regular players.

I agree, but I voted for Gould only because he is in the top 3 ever in his position.

Just so we are clear on Brandon Marshall, Playing with an injury on the field does not a great player make. I know everyone is fawning over him again because he so beastly dealing with an injury and getting 3 touchdowns in the game, but this stunt doesn't necessarily make him the best player.

Players play injured all of the time. Cutler played really well after that wicked spear, and he's not even in this poll. I'm not saying B. Marsh isn't the best player on the roster, but trying to appeal to objectivity rather than meatball emotions.

No meatball here, B Marsh all the way, since the day he arrived for those two beautiful thirds, he has been a model pro on and off the field, he has taken first Alshon and then Wilson under his wing and he continues to be a team player. He is no Charles Tillman, now that there is a true man, but Marshall has exceeded expectations IMHO.

Wait a minute, hold up. Kyle Long has ZERO VOTES?

I know he is not better than Brandon Marshall, but he was a key to a lot of victories since he got drafted and you'd think he'd get a little love? I mean, how does Forte even get any yards if he's running behind someone else? How does Cutler get defended after the whistle blows on a dirty hit? How does the defense get inspired to make plays without Kyle's yelling?

I'm a little shocked TBH...

I read in another thread by another highly heralded blogger that this was the case. I think you'll find he is what he is HHM, just another guy at the guard pos. doing what he does best. He enthralls the clipboard wielding, moustache with spit in, locker punching masses. We as a fan base don't want this kind of thing, otherwise you end up with bad blogs and the football related talk goes out the window, then some turd comes in with gifs and all hell breaks loose.

No Kyle Long is not even in the top 30 on this team, Brock Vereen (who is on his way into the H.O.F for the record) is ahead of him. Spot poll with pie chart told me this a while ago.

The gravity of this situation is becoming rather heavy I feel.
