I'm gonna bring up Leadbelly again. Amazing burgers.

It's right above Kuma's imo. Kuma's is good too though.

Portillo's sucks. It's overrated garbage.

Nick's Tavern in Lemont has the best burger in the state. Want fries? Fuck you, have some chips. Want a tomato? Fuck you, fuck you hippie. Burger, bun, and onion. If you're nice to the lady behind the bar, maybe you'll get cheese.

Nick's Tavern does not have the best in the state, but very good if you're in the Lemont area.

Alfie's Inn on Roosevelt in Glen Ellyn.
Tuman's Tap, Chicago Ave and Leavitt(Ukrainian village).
Cottage on Dixie in Homewood
Known better for their hot dogs, even Byron's has a decent burger.

Try it out, great burger and really cool little sports bar. My only complaint is it's too big for the NON-pretzel bun,

I had this thing called the Triple Bypass Burger from Bulldog's Grill in Grayslake. It's 2 grilled cheese sandwiches as the buns with a decent sized burger in between. Also has bacon and one slice of tomato...and a little lettuce.

Not the best burger or anything, but it was pretty good.

Sounds like a great way to make your belly fat.

Saw that the burger at 7 Lions was getting some solid reviews and I have to say that it is very, very solid. Also had the burger at Au Cheval a while back and with bacon and a fried egg I have to say its the best I've had in the city.

Just thought I resurrect this thread....
