Baez is confused tonight, he hitting but not fielding

Tough night with glove but he looked good with his 2 AB

Not watching the game but baez is not a ss. Has great reactions and a smooth tag but it would be growing pains like castro.nhe can make incredible plays then botch the simplest plays. He has plenty of arm

Im not jumping on kid, I really have no complaints about his overall defense this year..

Both plays were simple grounders that castillo could've made, he was lucky to get an out on first one but botched a DP opportunity with second.

Id like to see him get another clean hit tonight and have a solid weekend/finish with bat

Saw that the Brewers have the 5th most days spent in 1st place (150) without making the playoffs...

Big collapse considering they were 18 games over heading into July

Hmm, I dont know if my memory only remembers certain things but I do know the last 4 K's Baez has been called out on strikes. He has been right on taking the pitch. They have all been balls.

Jokisch seems like he could be a nice under the radar prospect. 6.28/2.51 k/9 and bb/9 rates aren't amazing but the're not terrible either. The k/9 is a little down off the minors which is to be expected and his bb/9 is basically within range of his minor league numbers. Additionally he's also another lefty which is never a bad thing.

I see him as a middle relief. Cubs need to invest into the rotation.

• Jacob Turner will start Sunday in place of rookie right-hander Kyle Hendricks, who is being shut down after reaching 183 innings. Hendricks totaled 102 2/3 innings in 17 starts at Triple-A Iowa, and 80 1/3 innings in 13 starts with the Cubs.

That's code for needing to see another Turner start, IMHO.

Another Turner start is code for "We want to pick ahead of the White Sox".

Could be. I still think they already are convinced about Kyle and want to see Turner in action.

Hendricks has pitched a 180 plus inning this year. Epidemic of arm trouble around the league and he has guaranteed him a spot in the rotation for next year. I see why the Cubs let someone else have his start. Turner is trying to earn a spot for spring training to compete for a rotation spot.

It was a IP count issue. 186 IP over all. No need to over due it. So a shut down.

Turner IMO is on the bubble right now and a good outing really can help him.

I would put it:

In:
Arrieta, Hendricks, Doubront

Bubble:
Wada, Jochish, Turner

Outs:
Jackson, Wood
