My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Minnesota United FC
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Nah. Not really. The low end for this team is 7-9 given it's current condition.

Low end 7-9? Yeesh. That may be the generous high end for this team.

Great work bearmick and it confirms that the people who hated Martz failed to understand that he got the best out of Cutler prior to Trestman arriving to town.

How many good teams did we play in that stretch? 4? And lost to all of them?

The Eagles finished 10-6 and the Jets finished 11-5. Both teams made the playoffs in 2010.

The Bears were one of two teams (with the Patriots being the other, when they scored 45) to score more than 30 against the Jets defense that year.

The 24-13 loss, and 37-13 victory over the Lions (who finished with a 10-6 record) occurred in the same season (2011). You do realize this, right?

Also the Patriots were 14-2 in 2010 and Packers 15-1 in 2011. There's no shame in losing to teams like that.

Do you EVER say anything correct?

What's intetesting is that Treatman was a genius his first year and now he's slumping in year 2 as teams have adjusted. Is that much different from Martz's tenure in Chicago?

It's different because the Bears offense improved in almost every category in Martz second year, other than Hanie.

Yeah the 2011 Bears had continuity and a head coach to reign in the OC when need be. They also had a rather cakewalk schedule though as they would have only played 2 playoff teams in 3 games (Packers twice) and would have lost all of them. The Bears would have replaced Detroit as the wild card, and they would have kicked Denver out of the playoffs by beating them. They were putting up 30 ppg during that 5 game winning streak before Cutler got hurt and Hanie took over and sank the ship. I could see the Oakland game being difficult for Cutler and the Bears, but was winnable...The rest of the AFC West I have no doubt they'd win. The Bears were looking at 12-4 at best, 10-6 at worst that season and would hold the tiebreaker over Detroit for the last wild card position.
