K-Rod still out there but wants a 2 yr deal.

Lower it to a 1 yr deal & you may have more teams interested.

The Royals are getting the crap thrown at them from opposing pitchers. I think that they have been hit at least a dozen times thus far and it has cost them a player(Rios) at least. Ventura, I think got thrown out of a game in retaliation already. I guess that this is part of baseball but I really don't like it when it looks like they are intentionally hitting people in order to knock them out of the game.

Frankly, one of the things that I have hated the last few years about the Sox was that their pitchers didn't retaliate after our guys were constantly being throw at. It really pissed me off when they hit Paulie so much and it cost him many many games during his career. This appears to be changing for the better with the Sox and I don't know whether the pitchers have taken it on themselves to do it on their own or what. All that I know is that having a dozen of your players hit by a pitch thus far in a season would make me as a manager very VERY pissed off.

Beurhle took care of his Sox buddies who were thrown at. I remember once after a Sox hitter got plunked and #56 retaliated the next half inning. He got tossed immediately. The bench just erupted when he got back to the dugout. It was awesome. PK also had his way of retaliation by getting big hits in some of the games where he got plunked.

Even better. Mark had a record streak going and he put team above self.
