He's pitched 13.2 innings....

March 4 - 2.0 IP 1 hit 1 walk 2 K's 0 ER
March 8 - 2.0 IP 1 hit 0 walks 3 K's 0 ER
March 13 - 2.0 IP 2 hits 0 walks 0 k's 0 ER
March 18 - 3.0 IP 5 hits 0 walks 2 k's 3 ER
March 23 - 4.0 IP 2 hits 0 walks 2 k's 0 ER
March 28 - 0.2 IP 4 hits 1 walk 2 k's 6 ER

If you excluding the shelling by the cubs he's pitched 13 IP, 11 hits, 1 walk, 9 K's and 3 ER. That's a 2.07 ERA, 0.92 WHIP, 6.23 K/9, 0.69 k/9. It's literally a case of the cubs shelling him that's added 4 runs to his ST ERA. The rest of spring he's been stellar.

Listen Gray is a stud, I wouldn't concern myself much with his numbers at this point. For Colorado there are only two questions; 1) can he pitch at Coors, a notoriously difficult park especially for young pitchers and 2) Can he continue to improve his changeup which, while much better this spring, still needs consistency. If the answer is yes to both this guy is a huge part of The Rockies team this year, whether he breaks camp with the club or not.
