Year 2 and I'm still really fucking pissed about them breaking up this rivalry. 33 years of of us and them battling it out for the top of the old Norris and then the Central division with only limited competition from other teams and they go and move them out of the conference? Surely there could have been some compromise during the realignment talks that could have let that happen.

True, but you gotta admit: That was the best possible ending to the rivalry that ever could've happened (being down in the series 3-1 and coming back to win in OT in Game 7). I think we might've even swept them during the regular season that year.
