Masks are too busy for my taste but still a great job by the designer. Gargoyles are pretty cool as far as Turcos reasons for having them. But /doesn't go with the Indian Head image.
maybe they should be wearing native headdresses?

Well at least that would be an attempt at some integration because as it stands right now to my eye those look like some FUGLYass testosterone-y gargoyle masks with some Hawks imagery slapped on as an afterthought. But whatever, to each their own and more importantly whatever dude feels "works" for him or brings him the good mojo.
 ---those are some WAY busy masks! I never really dig ones that have monsters, skulls or like cartoon-type pictures on them. I think simpler masks that mostly allude back to the team the goalie is playing for are the classiest ones. I have been spoiled the last couple of seasons because loathe or like the guy's hockey Huet had the SWEETEST fucking masks in the League IMO---so beautifully conceived and executed.
Couldn't agree more. Huet's white mask with the colored feathers was beautiful and his Winter Classic one was the best of all the 6 that the various WC goalies have worn so far.

I like the masks. Hopefully the gargoyles do their job extremely well this season.

I agree.. Some masks are so intricate that you can't really enjoy them. Team based masks or masks designed off a player's nickname are my favorites.
