McQueary has been placed on administrative leave.

He should've been fired when Paterno was, but some news stories are now saying that since he works at a state university, he may be protected by whistleblower laws since he originally reported the incident to Paterno in 2002 and his grand jury testimony was critical in Sandusky being charged with crimes. Regardless, if this is true, it's a gross abuse of, and a perversion of the intent, of the whistleblower law. If McQueary was at a private university, he wouldn't have this protection.

Yea no shit I was being facetious. I had a good 2 paragraphs you did a good job of ignoring. I wasn't being serious with that comment which should have been pretty clear, but IHN is the place where you could write a novel only for one quote to be taken out.

And Biscuit I'm aware of all the wrong's in that case, but I'm not sure coaches are very well read with OSHA's regulations. Its a completely irrelevant topic that I was not trying to stir up, I was simply being an asshole or idiot saying go Irish.

I know you were playing asshole on that post, just that there is\was more to the Irish thing than let on. And actually there should be union employees that should have been assisting on the setup, employees that should know. Again, making it seem like it was a failure of the college or the team could lead to a loss of money, so the usual college sports coverup was in play...which I find much more troublesome just as in the Penn St. thing.

Back on topic, good to hear that some action is being taken on McQueary. Unfortunately accountability is coming too late...would love some court action on this.

Criminally/legally McQueary is safe. He did the minimum requirement by state law, which is stated in the grand jury report. They will not prosecute their star witness (McQueary). The only thing I do not agree with is McQueary being protected under the "whistle blower law" because McQueary did not report it to anyone outside of the Penn State bubble. Morally he is damned forever!

After Penn State scandal, The Citadel details abuse allegation

A South Carolina military college said Saturday it regrets not pursuing an allegation against a camp counselor further than it did.

The Citadel released details on one of its alumni, Louis Neal "Skip" ReVille, who faces charges including criminal sexual conduct with a child.

In 2007, the college received an allegation that five years earlier, ReVille invited two campers at The Citadel Summer Camp into his room to watch pornography. They did not touch each other, but engaged in sexual activity, the college said.

"Though the general counsel was unable to corroborate the accusation, the college continued its investigation with the camper's family, who made it clear they were very concerned about maintaining their privacy and not having their names publicized.

"Despite the concerns of the family, whose right to privacy was foremost on our minds, we regret that we did not pursue this matter further," Citadel President Lt. Gen John. W. Rosa and Doug Snyder, chairman of The Citadel Board of Visitors, wrote in a statement.

Mt. Pleasant Coach & Asst. Principal Arrested on Sex Charges

Thirty-two-year-old Louis Neal ReVille has been charged with three counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor and three counts of lewd acts on a minor.

ReVille has worked as assistant upper school principal at Coastal Christian Preparatory School. He also has been tennis coach at Bishop England High School.

Court documents say ReVille is accused of inappropriately touching and performing sex on three teen males.

Gov. says McQueary failed 'moral obligation' in Sandusky incident

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) -- The Penn State football coach who told a grand jury that he saw another coach molest a child failed to meet "a moral obligation" to intervene, Pennsylvania's governor, [Tom Corbett], said Sunday, adding that he expects more victims to come forward.

A friend of mine told me today that he heard McQueary actually stopped the incident he witnessed and reported it to campus PD. True/false?

Also, Sandusky's interview with Costas was godawful. The local news had a voice analyst come on that basically said he was lying through his teeth re: not blowing that kid and being a pedo

Whether true or false, McQueary still failed the morality test because he stayed with an organization that covered up child rape. He saw Sandusky walking around the sports facility everyday knowing the campus PD helped cover up child rape. McQueary stayed employed by a corrupt organization..when he stayed he took ownership in the corruption.

It's just so much bigger than him, McQueary. So much bigger. It's the environment of Penn State. That culture. The mind set of it. It's protective, self preserving nature, like a miniaturized version of any other powerful institution, like religion or government/politics when it runs into trouble. Protect yourself at the expense of all else, it doesn't matter the damage. Hiding child rape and protecting the rapists is not new behavior. It's overwhelming the kind of pressure there is on people in that situation to do what would normally be considered the "right thing". That's not an excuse for him at all, just trying to get people to understand why and how these things happen.

That's why we are seeing things like the Judge who set Sandusky's bail at 100k as being a volunteer for Second Mile. The potential of the scope of this, where it may lead, is staggering, pending on what is uncovered from investigations into Second Mile Foundation and there are other people involved that are trying to protect that from getting out. Sandusky is probably just the tip of the iceberg if anything ever gets uncovered. And I hope it does, they have to get to digging into that foundation as soon as possible. They have to do everything they can to investigate that organization.
