During the second full day of the NHL lockout, some 30 players gathered in Chicago for an informal workout and scrimmage.

Many Blackhawks, including captain Jonathan Toews, Patrick Sharp, Dave Bolland, Jamal Mayers, Niklas Hjalmarsson, Johnny Oduya and Steve Montador, were on the ice for a practice run by Toews and Mayers.

Also on the ice were former Hawks Troy Brouwer of the Capitals, the Panthers' Brian Campbell and Ben Eager of the Oilers.

Many of the players wore their team's practice uniforms but they were not allowed to use the Hawks' dressing room at the practice facility and no one from the Hawks organization was present.

So I take it this took place at Johnny's? Pretty cool, though, I wonder how they went about it. Just bought the ice from Johnny's?
