You act like he's the only first rounder in that draft to have not busted.

Every year there's a handfull of first round picks that "bust that hard" yet everyone on here thinks a first round pick is a guarantee.

Yeah but to not even make it into one NHL game is pretty rare for a #1.

I sure hope he paid attention in shop class

4 in that draft class that never played an NHL game.
5 the year before. (and there was one player who played a total of 1 NHL games)

Yeah, his was more due to serious injuries though. Beach just fell off the face of the earth.

I was really hoping he would pan out and he didn't do too bad in Rockford. Sounds like it was an attitude thing more than hockey skill.

There always seems to be that one player taken in the top 15 that just falls flat.

Who knows, in 2 more years we might forget about Kyle Beach entirely and talk about McNeill who?

McNeill doesn't have that attitude that Beach has. McNeill though I have feeling won't make it here in Chicago. From people who watch the Icehogs, he's a player Q won't like since he's just all north south and likes to carry the puck all on his own.

Tbh, I liked McNeill when he was drafted, but I'm starting to question if he'll make it at all, not just with the Hawks, but in general. I think he took a step forward this season, but he hasn't developed as quickly as I thought. IMO we have other forwards ahead of him.

Watch him make the team out of camp now, lol.
