So where's Ribiero? Clearly this was a move to make room for Ribiero.

Because it is always on the coaching...not the players decisions actually who are on the ice

Screw fat Mike. If you're going to bring a Mike (other than Ribiero) back to Chicago. .. you better bring back black Mike from Charlotte.

No, as many hockey experts have said before he is poised for a head coaching position.

Hawks need more puck movement on their PP. That's the biggest issue.

True, but one coaching decision has been killing me. Sharp is awesome off the left half-wall one-timing shots, and Seabs creates a nice right-handed shot from the point. So the last year or so they kept sticking Sharp on the point (where he was less useful than on the half wall) and stuck Seabs on the bench. Made no sense to me.

The coaches have to put the guys in the right role and I think that had that one messed up.

It's good news. Was never really sure what he brought to the team. The PP has been bad long before he came along, so doubt it will drastically change regardless who will be brought in. A new pair of eyes on the coaching staff ought to be good, I guess. Bring up Dent and put someone competent in charge of the Hogs.

So Kompton got both the GM and head coaching job. A fellow W-hawks fan (who happened to be a Kings fan) mentioned that he was the reason for LA's dismal PP in 2012.

Well, the W'hawks have been near the top of the WHL and CHL for the past few seasons...it's been a good run.

Not that he had much to work with, but the Hawks powerplay was always dead-last when he was the assistant/head coach.

The sad thing is, the best powerplay coaches the Hawks have ever had in the last 20 years were Torch and Haviland.
