Blah blah blah. He's going to be a good player in this league. And chances are that he will just miss a few weeks.

Could we hear from all the experts who were so eager to trade Mike Dunleavy jr for a pick because Dougie should start? When will the word DEPTH get through to people?

This season for Doug was to watch and learn so not really a big deal in the long run.

A scope is just the method of surgery. The extent of damage, and the complexity of both the surgery and recovery can vary significantly.

Do we even know what Doug's timetable looks like?

This could be the best thing for his development. An early injury is going to afford him a few things.

He will be bale to focus on strength training his upper body during the season, that would have had to have waited till the offseason without the injury.
He is going to have a lot more time to study tape, players tendencies, what works and what does not, ect.
He is going to have to work hard to come back from injury and that is always a good skill to learn.

Having in unjury that keeps you off the court your rookie year can be helpful in basketball. Especially for a kid like McDermott who probably needs less skill refinement and more work on his upper body and defesnive understanding.

Blake had a much more serious surgery on his knee his rookie season.

Much ado about nothing.

So I hear he's out 6-8 weeks. Puts him back in February.
