The difference between Brandon Marshall and Greg Hardy is that while Hardy did something awful "off the field", by all accounts, he seems to be a reasonable guy in the locker room. People don't mind his presence.
Marshall on the other hand, did awful off the field stuff and is now like an obnoxious "born again Christian" will his constant self promotion 24/7. It wears on players.

I find it shocking how many people now find Marshall a locker room cancer, and want to get rid of him. Does one season erase how amazing he is? Or how he practically carries our offense for a couple years? Obviously he's going to be a little noisier when we are having a losing season.

Hey, it's the trending media narrative. You can thank the likes of Boers and Bernstein along with Hub Arkush among others for that. Most of the people in this town, and for this team in particular, eat that shit up. Just like they're currently eating up the Ballard cheerleader pieces, as they did three years ago in the case of Emery, and two years ago for Trestman. It's clockwork at this point.
