I can't really remember, but was Marinelli turning down HC offers when he was fired for his 0-16 season? Even if not, I'm sure if he would have held out for a little longer the offers would come pouring in...
We dont know what would have happened as he signed with the Bears

Being this the first head coach they have hired with actual experience since the Civil Rights movement, my guess is the negotations weren't as easy as past coaches. The old curmudgeon had to be quit pissed they couldn't lowball a veteran coach like their neophyte coaches they have done in the past. Less $$$ for the trust funds of the lucky sperm club.
So true, I've also heard the earth is flat, witches float and if a girl wears hig heels during sex she cant get pregnant.
