This may be hard to do. Some who are older may have different views as those who are younger. But figure a player that we bought low on via trade or FA that was just off the charts a straight steal.

For a one year example I'd say Loiza

Those are all very good answers. I don't know what they paid for him but I'd add Jose Contreras to that list who in addition to his own great impact but also what influence he had on the Cuban infusion that followed him. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed that big guy pitch!

I remember watching Contreras jamming a softball between his fingers in the bull-pen when he warmed up. The guy had huge hands! The drop that he had on his fork ball was the best that I have ever seen. It was fun to see.
