TBH it's a real question. Many people would choose their team over the sport itself.

So explain how, if one coaches within the sport, they would choose their team over the sport itself? That makes absolutely ZERO sense.

Your supposition is peculiar. Just because something is #1 in a person's life does not mean they don't spend time with #2 thru whatever.

Dodgers look liketheyare going to need a starting pitcher. Come-on Hahn, get rid of Danks and get a prospect in return. They have several good ones a year or so away. They have deep pockets and their manager will be on a short leash.
