Big game for Jimmy McBuckets, and good games for Dunn and Jo too. Pretty poor shooting game for everyone else. Got the win, however, and the Cavs, Wiz, and Toronto all lose. As usual, would have really liked to see McD get at least 1 shot attempt, especially since the Bulls were 9-31 from 3 with Dunn getting 5 of those. :dunno:

Well the team way outplayed how I thought they would without Gasol. Shooting was pretty rough, which was to be expected with no low post threat to speak of. That said, still dominated the glass and found ways to score with Jimmy and Noah working out of the high post. If ever there was a game where I wanted to see more Hinrich than Brooks, this was it...Brooks had quite a hard night on both ends of the floor.

As for McDermott not getting a shot in his near 3 minutes (OMG HE PLAYED SO MANY NON GARBAGE TIME MINUTES), perhaps if Dunleavy wasn't on fire at that point, he would've gotten a shot up.

He had a pretty bad game. I'm surprised that Moore doesn't get some PG minutes. With all the talk about another wing for the Bulls, they really need another true facilitator other than Rose. They really need another PG that is a pass 1st PG even if Rose comes back healthy.

He's not effective as a starter on this team. Hate on Kirk all you want but he's a PG who can run the offense. I love Brooks toughness, range, and driving ability but he can not run an effective offense. There's a reason why Noah had 8 assists tonight. Thibs went back to his offense of last season, running the plays thru Jo in the high post.

I will likely get flamed for this but in Rose's absence, I think Kirk needs to be starting. Now that doesn't mean he needs to play 30+ minutes, but he needs to be out there to get the offense started on the right track so we can keep Brooks in his scoring role off the bench. Moore can be leveraged more off the bench as well.

I think you're right. Though it's a very small sample size (3 games now), Brooks has been trash as a starter. Shooting 33% from the field through two games, a number that is now way lower with his 2-15 performance tonight. Frankly, I think it's pretty clear he does better playing against other bench players. He can still play near 30 minutes off the bench, but in a role that's more suited to his skill set.

Just a novel idea with Thib's of going with another player instead of sticking with a player too long that is playing like shit. Brooks was playing like shit, and Kirk is a little better at facilitating, thus play Kirk in the game against Minny.

This is what a coach is supposed to do when he has a deep roster. Thib's, imo, seems to play the wrong player no matter what the situation is. And the Bulls need to groom a pass 1st PG for the future behind Rose and in case Rose can't go.

This is NOT a 28 game rental of Dragic of another veteran Wing player. Take your GarPax hate agenda and stick it where the sun don't shine. The trade deadline is OVER, please spare us with post after post of the same 'ol bullshit. Please!
