Definitely better energy here in the 2nd quarter. It's nice to see Niko coming out with a vengeance after a pretty bad shooting game against Minny.

Halftime: 43 - 41 Clippers

Niko holdin down the fort with 13 points. Jimmy and Jo doing their thang. However, we'll need someone to step up the scoring in the 2nd half. Maybe Snell, maybe Pau, maybe Brooks, or how about some white kid that can shoot the 3?

I really think Thib's would pull a Norman Dale and play with 4 before letting McD play some minutes.

3rd Quarter: 69 - 69

What happened to Niko? Did Thib's forget about his hottest player in the 1st half? :dunno: Brooks and Snell stepping it up, however.Pau must still be feeling shitty, he needs to sit Thib's.

Oh look, Thib's puts Niko back in the game and there's his 2nd 'and one' after hitting a 3! Why did Niko sit for most of the 3rd? :dunno:

Snell and Niko need to play the rest of this game!

Classic example of sticking with Kirk too long..... Dunn or McD would play just as good defense as Kirk is playing right now, give the Bulls more length on the switches which are killing them, and both can hit the 3.

Fuckin Thib's, he needs to put in all his shooters right now, Paul is wasting anyone who checks him, so why not fight fire with fire? He's gonna die with Kirk standing around on offense again, and Brooks and and Tony forcing it.

So what's Thib's do? He takes out Kirk, finally, and brings in Pau, who's played like shit, and can't hit his shot. WTF?

With the way the team was shooting and "moving the ball" I doubt McDermott would've made any difference. It would've just been the watch Chris Paul destroy McDermott over and over show until the end of the game. The only way Doug could've helped is if he went like 10-10 from 3 to make up that deficit.

This is the very kind of game that pisses me off about Thib's. The Bulls are once again all banged up with injuries (another thread), yet Thib's has no creativity to try anything different. He was out coached by his old boss, imo.

Niko came out on fire today after having a bad shooting game against Minny. He barely played in the 1st, but was the hottest player by halftime for the Bulls. What's Thib's do? Doesn't play Niko for all but 1 minute of the 3rd.

The Clippers started playing small ball, and Jimmy goes down, so Thib's answer was to play Kirk for almost the entire 4th quarter, who was 0-7 fron 2p and 0-3 from 3p. He doesn't try Moore at all, and sits Dunn for the 4th instead. Thib's plays right into the Clippers plan, imo.

When Thib's finally did take Kirk out, who was just standing around on offense, and getting burned on defense, he brings in Pau, who clearly was not feeling well yet, and shot 2-13 from the the field.

What he should have done was not play Kirk, and play Dunn or McD, who could have easily checked Barnes, Reddick, or whoever they were playing, and they would have been two 3 pt shooters on offense, and given the Bulls some length to depend the pick and roll that was killing Kirk and Brooks, and they could have helped on the Boards, with Jordan dominating our bigs.

Whatever Thib's did, DID NOT COME CLOSE TO WORKING, so why not try something different? That's what pisses me off about Thib's! Thib's will cry about injuries, but Rivers out coached him big time, imo. Kirk was an absolute waste of space the entire 4th quarter.

Both Dunn and McD could have been the defensive presence that he was this game, yet they would have given us length and 3 pt shooting. As far as I'm concerned, if the gameplan doesn't go perfectly for Thib's, he can't manage a team as a head coach.

It would've just been the watch Chris Paul destroy McDermott over and over show until the end of the game. The only way Doug could've helped is if he went like 10-10 from 3 to make up that deficit.

So playing Kirk and watching Paul destroy him was better? At least McD is taller and wouldn't be such a liability on the switch and he could have hit some 3's! Kirk was 0-7 and 0-3. That was a waste of a roster spot for the entire 4th quarter.

We'll never know, however, cuz Thib's has no freaking creativity to try something different! 4 three pointers from Dunn or McD in the 4th quarter could have been the difference in the game.

If Kirk was locking down on defense it would be a different story, but he wasn't! Kirk was getting eaten alive, and then he was just standing around on offense cuz the offense was going through Brooks.

Thib's doesn't get that playing Brooks and Kirk at the same time sucks. I would have Loved to see what McD could have done instead of Kirk in the 4th. Surely Dunn would have done better. :dunno:
