One glaring issue that I have noticed this year is for how big we are at receiver and tight end we are extremely SLOW!! not a sub 4.5 guy in the starting lineup...The proof in the pudding was how teams played us the last 14 games. We could not separate. Jay saw 3 high and 4 high all year....forcing throws underneath. How be it all the chances he took left egg on his face. Not all the picks were bad decisions just high risk throws trying to make something happen. Pace should spot this immediately when he reviews film and hopefully will infuse this team with some speed....

Our offense will be fine as long as we fix our RT. I'm not going to get into the JC & BM what if's but atm we have plenty of talent on our offense. Fix RT, take a flyer on a late round WR or pick up a FA like Jacoby Jones or Ted Ginn or Denarius Moore. Focus on rebuilding our Pass rush, LBs, CBs and Safeties.

All we need is a RT? WOW, I must have been in a coma last year.

Agreed, the offensive problems will continue to get worse until Jay "the coach killer" Cutler is finally traded/cut.

The supposed lack of separation and coverage bullshit whines are simply myths to excuse Cutler's bad habits/flaws.

The fact is the large majority of all the contested throws last season were a result of the Cutler holding the ball too long. If he actually throws the ball on time and accurately it should be easy pitch and catch, especially with big body WR's like AJ and Marshall. The entire fucking point of having big body WR's is supposed to be so you don't need separation... but when Jay sits there patting the ball and the defenders have a chance to recover from the WR's break and contest every throw you get idiots whining about the lack of separation like it's a WR issue and not a QB issue that's the root of the problems.

As for the coverage, how the fuck do you expect defenses to react when they build up a lead and they're playing Jay Cutler the mercurial gunslinger that can't seem to stop himself from taking chances and letting it rip wherever the fuck he feels like. Obviously they're going to sit back and play coverage and force him to dink and dunk his way down the field knowing full well they just have sit and wait for him to get impatient and he'll inevitably force one for an easy INT.

For the love of God stop making excuses for the guy and acknowledge he's the root fucking cause for these problems, not the blameless victim of them.

So now it's a Cutler thread?

He was mentioned in the OP was he not? This is a thread about the offense no? He is still the QB for the time being is he not? Are we supposed to ignore the big pink elephant in the room when we discuss the offense now just so we don't upset you overly sensitive last few Cutler fangirls?

He plays the most important position in all of team sports and got a huge contract making him the leagues highest paid player last year. He's going to get talked about and talked about a lot. I suggest you learn to deal with it.

How about a consistent running game. Last 2 years we mostly passed. Defense doesn't get tired on passing plays. Bears need an RT and a center. Once we get those fixed, the Bears O won't look as predictable. Play action will work more often, and there will be mismatches in passing game. Also the defense will look much better if they get more rest instead of 3 and outs, which the Bears O was one of the league leaders in.

We'll have a downfield guy and really, Wilson is not slow, just a long strider. The O didn't setup deep balls well and the Oline was below par as well. Can't stretch the field when you don't have 3 sec to throw or make the safeties cheat the run game. These are not excuses for Jay's poor decisions or lack of accuracy on long balls last year (what was that about?). Fox likes a deep threat so we'll have something in place for it and as I mentioned earlier Wilson has long wheels. He just needs to catch the damn rock. We'll see how Gase mods it but Fox likes to pull in the safeties and then strike deep. I suspect it will be the same here.

We have a "Need for Speed" at WR.....slot perhaps.......and then again....there is that novel idea of actually running the ball.....?!

Man don't you wish you had the FA and the draft to address the speed issue.

What's pathetic is you crybabies constantly whining that nobody should ever talk about the fucking QB of the team simply because you don't like people criticizing him and speaking the truth.

Stop trying to silence discussion just because you're overly sensitive and don't agree with something. If you can't handle reading opposing viewpoints I'd suggest you get off the internet or put the entire msgboard on ignore except for the 5 remaining Cutler fangirls left on here so you don't have to see anything you don't like.
