I didnt like that pick and it never turned out. Its a shame really, because all the other picks have contributed. Idk if Lil teague is even in the league still.

Also if only DJ would have stayed also. He was the best backup point guard we had in the Thibs era with his 15 and 5apg off the bench.

Lol...they don't need help at point guard and they don't need help at shooting guard. I am afraid of your television...their shooting guard is an all star...legitimate...Bulls have "plug and play" backup point guards every year.

You are going to have to quit with this stuff, reminds me of your Rondo ideas....just doesn't make sense.

Try again with your post. You are saying that the Chicago Bulls do not need any help at point guard or shooting guard. This means that they are set with a guard group of a perenially injured Rose, Butler, Moore, Snell, Brooks, Hinrich. As for these "plug and play" point guards? That's been a success? And to think that you mock my Rondo idea. Rondo was merely a suggestion about improving the legitimacy of our backcourt with Rose gone. I also suggested other all-star caliber players. But you think this team is just peachy in the back-court. Now, you must go to the same pot shop that BP gets his shit from.

For Starters you are right. But for the bench I´d like to have a bigger PG who is also a good defender. I like Moore, but I´m not completely sold on him yet.

As for a backup SG I´d like to finally see someone who is able to create his own shot, hit u with a stepback or cross somebody. Besides Rose, there´s nobody confident puting the ball on the floor.

For the future I could see a lineup like:

Rose, Moore
Butler
Mirotic/Snell (depends on who is the SF of the other team), McDermott
Gasol, Gibson
Noah

The Bulls still Need a quality guard.

And if they give Taj away, they´re in desperate need of another bigman as well.

Good post. We tend to fall in love with the DJs, Robinsons, Lynchs, etc. And the before he got really old and shitty Hinrichs. But since Rose cannot be counted upon to play much alone be an all-star, they do need lgit help in the back court beyond the abilities of these "plug-in" guys. And while these plug-ins provide quality offense, they are small and get eatin alive by the other teams starting guards on defense.

First off, I never agree with anything that Hawk says as it's pure idiocy. However, the b/u PG is an important position for the Bulls to consider in the near future, imo. Yes, the Bulls have plugged in b/u PG's with ease as you say, but they have mostly been tough scoring puch type of PG's.

The other side of it, we never know the accountability of Rose, unfortunately. When Rose is healthy, we have one of the best PG's, period, but he hasn't proven to be a sure thing, unfortunately. I think the Bulls need to consider bringing in a PG that could be an eventual replacement for Rose.

If Rose goes down again, he needs to be able to step in and run the offense like a real PG, imo. Personally, I'd like a lockdown defender, that can dish 10 assists in a game, but can still score a little bit. It probably would be good to be able to play PG and SG as well.

I really like a player like Patrick Beverly for Houston. If the Bulls could bring in a player that is similar to that, that can b/u at the PG and SG spots that would be perfect. I think it's imperative that the Bulls find a PG moving forward that can step in if Rose goes down again and not miss a beat at running the offense.

In a perfect world, the Bulls would add a PG like this, and then a starter at the 2/3 spots as you say, that can create, score and defend.

Ain't this a bitch. BP in one fucking breath says that he "never agrees with anything that Hawk says" because I am an idiot. Well, isn;t that special. Then he has to admit that what I have been asking for the entire season is true and that what he has been saying the entire season is wrong. Pretty funny.

No moron, the difference is I didn't want to trade two 1st's and 3 players for 1/2 year of Dragic's services. I'm talking about upgrading the team in the off season w/o giving away half the team. The Bulls should be able to add a G moving forward w/o giving up anything.

I would consider trading Taj in the OFF SEASON for a SF that can start for the Bulls. Butler and Snell can man the 2G spot already. Add a PG that can facilitate in case Rose goes down again, then a starting SF with McD backing him up and coming in as a 6th 3 pt specialist.

That's nothing like your Rondo/Dragic fantasies dude!

In a perfect world, you wouldn't have a poster say that he never agrees with another poster because said poster is an idiot and then AGREES with the said poster on the need to improve the quality of the back court of the team. This is what happens when one gets so wrapped up in their dislike for someone and refuses to acknowledge that even someone that you dislike for whatever reason can actually have some good ideas.

if Cowley is right on the Thibs bit, then i guess im wrong on Thibs starting to wear on the team....but as ive previously said, they better start playing like they support Thibs because they are doing him no justice this year

im upset at point 3. keeping Taj for insurance for Noah makes no sense to me, as he is not a legit center. you also stunt the growth of Nikola by either having him log jammed behind 2 bigs or forcing him to play out of position full time

if i was the Bulls i would let Noah walk in 2016. i understand its some sentimental there, but im not big on giving a hustle player a big contract at 32 especially one with knee issues...thats a recipe for a mistake

i don't buy Jimmy will take a 1 year deal as he already bet on himself once

Well listening to anything Cowley says would be your first mistake. He is the WORST beat writer I've ever seen in all my years following any sport. He's wrong 95% of the time & his "writing" is absolutely laughable.

That being said, I agree with your points but I also feel like Noah will not be looking to cash out in his next deal. He absolutely LOVES playing here, is a BIG part of the community as evidenced by his Rock the Drop campaign. I think he could very well give us a home team discount as long as we are still a contender.

I absolutely don't buy Jimmy take a 1-year deal too. He's not a greedy douche like Lebron for crying out loud hehe.

Can Jimmy even take a 1 year deal given the status of his deal? Wouldn't he have to sign a qualifying offer and settle for that? Not sure how it all works when you're coming off your rookie deal.

The thing with Jimmy is he's stuck between a rock and hard place due to the massive salary cap increase coming in 2016-17.

Noah may take a discount, but at the same time, the Bulls may not even want him anymore. But keeping Taj for that is dumb. Taj is just as injury prone as Noah at this point. And you only get to keep him one more year. Best to just draft a guy this offseason with the ideal of him supplanting Taj off the bench.

It'd have to be a qualifying offer I believe as he's restricted. He'd also have to not sign with another team (and you know other teams will offer him a max contract).

Well they'll offer it, but so can the Bulls. The thing with Butler is he may wait out for more after the new cap kicks in.

I honestly think he'll take the money now and be locked up for 5 years.

Hawk, I used to get a laugh out of your ridiculous opinions, but you are now really just boring me with your constant trolling of me. I'm going to do the logical thing and just ignore your ass.

I'd be shocked if he didn't resign for the max here this offseason.
