was thinking it might be fun to do a NBA playoff bracket on here. come up with a scoring system for it that everyone likes, maybe something where you pick the winner of the series and get extra point(s) for picking in how many games as well? thoughts?

nba.com use to actually have one.. but they haven't done it in years.

I don't know if there's a site that does.. if not its really simple to make our own bracket here I'm sure. I actually did this with co-workers in 2010-11.

Scoring is kinda like march madness. I'd say bonus points for predicting the series correct (4-2, 4-3, etc).

yep that's what I was thinking. get like 3 points for 1st round predicted right, 4 points for 2nd round, 5 for 3rd, and 6 for the finals or something like that? then a bonus point for predicting the series win/loss correct?

I think what my co-workers and I did was 2 points for first, 4 points for 2nd, 8 points for CF's and 16 points for Finals. 1 bonus points for correct series predictions.

wont be much to set up. once the playoff brackets are set we can start posting our brackets on here. id say the brackets need to be sent in on the message board like a day before the first playoff game starts

So... to set this up, should we just make a list of the series and what we think it will be?

yeah, im thinking a format something like this....

FIRST ROUND
1) Golden State Golden State in X amount
8)New Orleans
4)Portland
5)Memphis Memphis in X amount

then fill out all the other first round games. then...

Second Round
1)Golden State Golden State in X amount
5)Memphis

and so on and so forth throughout the rounds....work for everyone?
