Who cares? The Hawks are going to make it in. They don't need home ice.

Can't believe you nerds still care about regular season hockey.

Makes me laugh. Like watching TCD trying to take a toaster bath.

Here is a question. When was the last time the Hawks ended a season playing the Avs? That's a weird one seeing most of the time the Hawks end the season against the redwings...scared fucking go out East bastards. Meh to ending the season against the Avs boring ass no rivalry shit.

According to Greg Wyshynski at Puck Daddy, the Hawks have a 100% chance of making the playoffs, even though they haven't clinched a spot yet (scroll down to the Western Conference graphic in the link below). I assume that's because the teams below the Hawks are going to cannabilze each other and the Hawks already have enough points to get in as a wild card team.

I would very much like for the Hawks to squash the Blues again these next 2 games. I dig sporting my Blackhawks gear down here in Blues territory and rubbing it in lol..

Hawks will clinch by this weekend if not early next week. There really is no massive threat of the Hawks missing the playoffs at this point. Its just a matter of where they finish. Fuck if I could care about home ice. Fuck if I care if the Hawks end up in a wildcard spot. I stopped giving a shit about home ice crap years ago even though I know the team, the franchise and most fans do really care and probably should. I just don't. Get in the playoffs and go from there is my feelings every year.

Before tonight, the magic number was 3, now that the Jets have lost to NYR, it's down to 2

And with Buffalo on the schedule it should be 0, so yeah

It's funny that one week ago I was checking the 8, 9, and 10 seeds just to make sure the Hawks weren't in danger of falling out of the playoffs completely. Now I've got an eye on home ice in the first round and not completely ruling out a division title.

We've got a good chance of passing the Blues, especially if we sweep them in the head-to-head, but we're 5 points behind Nashville, thouh we have two games in hand. If we end up tied with Nashville, they'll most likely win the division, because they already have 41 wins in regulation or overtime while we only have 37. The Blues also currently have 37, but have one more shootout loss than us. Hence their extra point in the current standings.

Again, it appears that we're in the playoofs, 100% chance according to Greg Wyshynski at Puck Daddy, (see the link in my post above), due to teams below us cannabilizing each others possible points in head-to-head meetings. So if he's correct, I'm surprised the league hasn't indicated that the Hawks are already in, unless Wyshynski's calculations are incorrect.
