For me, nothing beats a good western North Carolina style BBQ. They way they do their ribs and chicken, with that tomato based sauce that is thick with molasses is amazing. I really hate the vinegar based sauces that they have in Eastern NC, and thankfully you just can't find the mustard based shit in all of North Carolina. I just wish WNC did pork a lot better than they do.

I really like NC style brisket. Extra smokey with that mesquite, super tender and you really don't need any sauce. Goes great with beans and some jalepenos, and some of the famous NC texas toast.
