It seems he doesn't underrate himself, "Weddle is not asking to be the highest-paid safety, just something among the top three or four."

So, you want a 30 yr old safety that feels " highly, highly" disrespected making $7.5M that has publicly stated he sees no reason to put out any more effort.

Yes, Yes I do. He didnt say he had a prob with the 7.5 mil....just just wants a new contract/extension... He's probably got another 2-3 years of solid play in him, why not pay to have a PB safety til we can find one in a draft to develop. Sounds like Chargers arend doing well to keep their stars happy with Rivers reportedly wanting out of there as well ( accorindg to LT on NFLN ). Plus, I mean that beard mohawk combo is badd ass.....

Just draft his brother in the 2nd
Not sure he'll end up with the same level of success. Mychal blew up the combine: 4.47 40, 24 reps, 39.5 vert and a 127 board jump. When the Eagles drafted him the questions were if he's college instincts would transition. When looking at his brother, Eric, he's around 10 lbs lighter and less athletic (4.61 40, 19 reps, 38 vert and a 124 board jump).

Mychal is a young, probowl talent while Eric is still just a prospect. I know Mychal will cost more in terms of contract, but if both cost a second rounder why not remove some of the risk of the college player not working out?
