Well the first 2 games in the AHL Western Conference semifinals have not gone well for the IceHogs. If they don't turn it around this coming Wednesday at home, things will end quickly and they can start calling in for Tee Times.

*Game photos are up from both games 1 & 2 in the special photo section of main page of chicitysports

*Game 1 on 5/6/15 - Too little effort, too late in the game. It's like the team forgot to get off the bus. Griffins win 5-3

*Game 2 on 5/8/15 - Grinffins dominate win 5-1. Painful to watch in person. Leighton has a meltdown after the Griffins score their 5th goal of game...breaks his stick. Can't put the blame entirely on him, as his team in front of him did not do their jobs the entire 3rd period. Very frustrating to watch turn over after turn over happen before your eyes. It was like the plan was...Hogs get the puck...skate it to center ice...then hand it over to the Griffins. Rinse & Repeat. Officials ridiculously blind to multiple infractions on both sides and let the game get out of control. Koharski. Coach not keeping team under control either. Games ends wildly, with a line scrum/scuffle with both teams on the receiving multiple Misconduct penalties.

Icehoggies won game 3, Stephen Johns has been amazing this post-season, had an assist and a goal, and is above a PPG rate right now. Looking good for the Hawks Dline options next year

Well as most know, the IceHogs LOST game 4 to the Griffins 2-1 in OT on Thursday night. It really was a even match that night...both teams equally sucked. They just got the first goal in OT. Both teams were out of gas and running on fumes.

The one memorable moment of the game...the Hogs did a beautifully executed play...4 perfect passes from one end of the ice to the other & a SOG...no goal but it was sure purdy.

This Sunday afternoon in Rockford is Game 5...it's do or die time. The Hogs MUST Win or their season is done.

The Hogs closed out their season last night...losing to the Griffins 5-3. Griffins took the series 4-1 and will advance to the AHL Western Conference Finals.

Stephen Johns was given a second look after the game by Doctors and apparently left the arena wearing a soft cast to his left arm.

The Blackhawks have started recalling players today...starting with Ryan Hartman, Phillip Danault, Ville Pokka and Viktor Svenberg.
