Some interesting tidbits. The NBA is going to be a little different this year...

In the East, the most recent Finals representative was Cleveland in 2007. The Wizards were then the Bullets and haven't gone to the Finals since 1979, Atlanta hasn't gone to the Finals since 1962 when they were in St. Louis, and the Bulls obviously haven't gone since 1998.

In the West, the Rockets are the most recent team to go to the Finals. The Warriors haven't been since 1975, the Clippers and Grizzlies have never gone to the Finals. The Clippers have also never gotten out of the 2nd round in franchise history.

And above all the Bulls are the most recent NBA champion.

And Since 1980, there's only been 9 different champions:
Boston - 4
LA - 10
San Antonio - 5
Dallas - 1
Miami - 3
Chicago - 6
Houston - 2
Detroit - 3
Philly - 1

well then we must accommodate history with a bulls championship then :)

The Clippers may not get out of the 2nd round yet again thanks to Paul's hamstring injury. If he was 100%, I think LA would have taken this series. Now that he's banged up, HOU has a pretty good chance. We'll see tonight.

Wouldn't surprise me. The Rockets-Clippers also never played this season with Dwight Howard playing the game, so there is that to factor in too.

I'm surprised with how well the Clippers are playing without Paul.

The Rockets can suck a dick. How da fuq you are going to be dismatnled by an Austin Rivers lead pg team. On your home court, you were just fucked up by a team without their best players. They just cost a bunch of money because Dwight Howard is a pussy and James Harden looked like he was sleep walking all game. Da fuck?

I bet my bets have been better then yours this year. Home, no Chris Paul, Harden not winning MVP. The clippers coming off and emotional draining series and game 7. Yea, I could see how no one would bet the rockets
