Matt LLoyd is the primary reason why the Orlando Magic job is much more attractive than the Bulls or Pelicans currently, imo.

good thing the bulls have been pretty solid at drafting near the end of the 1st round...I haven't heard of the majority of the kids you guys have named. college basketball has taken a nose dive the last few years IMO. I personally cant watch most college basketball games anymore

I'd like Jerian Grant...dk if he will be available that late though. I've been watching him since his freshmen year. Can play either guard spot at 6'5. Great passer and good defender. He really knows how to get his team involved. His 3 shot is streaky but that will get better over time.

lol... Dougie McD, Tony Snell, Bairstow are you samples.

Marquis Teague doesn't fit in that realm though.

Kirk Hinrich is from Iowa.

He looks way better than his brother Jerami. I think he's projected to go mid to late lottery though.

Plus, he has a pretty good connection to the organization.

I think the point is, under LLoyd you had draft picks from Duke, Florida, USC, Marquette, etc.... Whereas so far, with the only exception being a draft pick out of huge necessity the Forman picks have been from areas he is familiar with.

True, but I don't think we can label it as a true trend after two drafts. Could just be a weird coincidence. And really, who cares about Bairstow? The author certainly didn't give a squat about Erik Murphy who was from Florida.

I still think overall that article is kind of weak. It does show that Forman has indeed only looked in areas he knows minus the Teague pick, which according to the Bulls they were surprised he fell that far so they picked him.

When Lloyd was employed the Bulls picked:
Joakim Noah (9th)
Derrick Rose (1st)
Taj Gibson (26th)
James Johnson (16th)
Jimmy Butler (30th)

Now, Noah is someone the Bulls wanted in 2006, but he didn't declare. They would have picked him #2 in the 2006 draft if Noah came out then. The fact Noah went back, hurt his draft stock and the Bulls ended up with him anyways. So I'd like to say Lloyd had little to do in the thinking of that pick as well.

Rose was a no-brainer and Lloyd had little to do with that pick.

After that is where it gets more interesting since the Bulls are now a good team. James Johnson never worked out for the Bulls. I'd say his attitude was mostly in the wrong place. He has had some minor success in Toronto. Gibson though has worked out wonders for such a late 1st round picks. And of course Butler has too. After that we have Snell and McBuckets, and the jury will stay out on both of those for now.

Yeah, he'll be gone by the time we pick.

I've seen mocks of him falling into the mid 20's.

Grant measured as 6'3" w/o shoes at the combine.

Look, I'm not going to lie...Horace Grant was my favorite Bull of all time, so for sentimental reasons aside I like the idea of drafting Grant. I had it in my head that he was 6'5'' as well, but now that gives me pause.
