You have replaced GarPax in the front office. What do you do this offseason? Draft picks, trades, FA signings, keeping/getting rid of Thibs, it's all under your control.

You think you know what's best for the Bulls? Show us what you got.

EDIT: Here's a list of FA's for your reference: http://hoopshype.com/free_agency_2015.htm

First of all, thanks for posting those free agents. It should be useful in future discussions.

Rumors out here were going around that the Lakers were inquiring about Thibs but they quickly got denied by the Laker honchos.

i want a young a defensive center...noah is done

you can't teach size and athleticism..and WCS has those

i think he can fit into the mold of guys like Tyson/Noah/Jordan/Whiteside

They've got enough size to go around. What they need are some guys who can defend the other teams smaller guys and can run an offense. We have horseshit defenders and skill players on the bench.

looking at the free agents and thinking that nobody would want Noah and hoping we resign Jimmy I will go with:
C: Pau/Noah
PF: Mirotic/Arthur
SF: Snell/McDermott
SG: Butler/Dudley
PG: Rose/Marcelo Huertas

The backup point guard is really a wash. Can't forget about the draft pick(s) also for the Bulls. They might have to draft a backup point guard.

 @ everyone calling for dougie to start next year. have any of you actually seen him attempt to play defense? its atrocious. he would have to make some crazy strides this offseason in that area to be a starting caliber 3 in this league. ill be pleasantly surprised if hes just able to give some decent minutes off the bench. let him play against the other teams bench players and get some success in that role before you go throwing him right into the fire of playing against starting caliber wing players

danny green would be a realistic FA to target that would be a great fit for the bulls. I would trade Taj away for a draft pick or maybe as a sign and trade piece. I would start niko and pau next year and have noah come off the bench. go with a starting lineup of rose, butler, green, niko, gasol

as far as head coach goes, it seems like its time for thibs to go and so I would look to trade him for a future draft pick. I wouldn't go the hoiberg route though

well they are going the Hoiberg route :dealwithit:

everybody expects Hoiberg to accept the Bulls job once Thibs is let go

i think he naysayers will change their mind...this is a great move for now and the future of this franchise IMO

To be fair. We brought in McDermott because of his scoring. As a 6th man that is really what your role is. I think he would thrive in it.

Potential Bulls Free Agent Targets

With the free agency period about to open up in the upcoming weeks, I have decided to make a list of free agents I think the Bulls should at least consider signing. While the Bulls do not have much cap space, they can still find quality free agents who can play a significant role this upcoming season. Here are three free agents on my list:

Aaron Brooks, PG, Chicago Bulls: Gotta represent the team; Played well this past season for the oft-injured Rose.

Lou Williams, SG, Toronto Raptors: Reigning NBA Sixth Man of the Year; Can start at SG if necessary, but provides quality depth behind Butler as Hinrich and Moore were not effective during the season.

K.J. McDaniels, SG/SF, Houston Rockets: Had a very promising rookie season under the 76ers until he got to the Rockets; Could thrive under Thibodeau if he is still the head coach.

These are just a few guys on my list. List who you'd want the Bulls to target this upcoming free agency.

If you really wanted to have this discussion right now, I guess you can assume Hoiberg as coach. Or Thibs if you have confidence in him staying. :elephant:

Taj Gibson and the 22nd pick for Avery Bradley and the 33rd pick.

Realistic and good for both teams.

If I'm GM:

1. Hire Hoiberg, hire an assistant coach that emphasis' pressure defense.
2. Resign Jimmy Butler.
3. Make a run at Greg Monroe in free agency.
4. Sign Lou Williams to be Sixth Man.
5. I'd put Noah & Pau on the trading blocks sign & trade bait to get Monroe.
6. Draft an athletic wing/back-up PG to play behind Rose at 22.

After the Bulls resign Jimmy there will not be any money left over to make any real moves to acquire top end talent.
