Sounds like the Canadiens is the likely destination

Good for him, still has a chance to win and play for a great fan base

Speculation cooled after Saad, but it doesn't sound good for this.

Washington got Oshie for very little. Pittsburgh got Kessel. The market has dried, Bowman's bluff was called. I fear its going to happen and we won't get much back. We need to hope the Russians and Dano really add some magic cuz we are losing an awful lot.

I'd take Sharp for Okposo.

Tavares gets his sniper (or Sharp shooter) and I hear Okposo's stock has dropped with the Islanders. I like his grit and he'd add about 20 goals per season. Reminds me of Troy Brouwer type of player, with perhaps a little more offense. I believe we'd drop approx 3.1 mill from the cap under this scenario.

Would also give us a year until we find out of Panarin can be that player for less money.

There is a lot of excitement for Panarin a player that has zero minutes of NHL play time. If he ends up being as good as the hype, great but he could end up flying back to Russia after training camp.

Why do you need to trade Sharp now? Just keep the 20+ goals a year. What do you have to lose? Oduya? That's basically it at this point, right?

Stan can't move Bickell or Versteeg so he is having some problems.

Its not just Oduya, but Kruger and Oduya waiting for money to make a contract. It looks like to me.

Its the defensive depth that is putting Bowman in a bad spot here, he wants to keep Sharp but can't afford to lose a center and a top 4 D.

Would love to see Stan somehow offload Sharp to the Rangers for Keith Yandle's 2.6 million cap hit. Hell I'll toss in a 2nd rounder if it brings back Kevin Hayes as well.

Panarin is so good we signed his friend.

Wouldn't mind seeing them trade Sharp for Gudas and a pick. I like how Gudas plays.
