I wonder if they were pissed about Paliotta testing if he was going to leave for a bit of time, then not staying with the club during the playoffs. Odd and very lame to see him apart of the deal, especially without a returning D. Johns and TVR seemed ahead of Paliotta but he has some good traits.
If Sharp or Bickell get shoved off for a LH D who is still young enough but experienced to play with the club I'd be more okay with that.

Yeah, Saad is going to be a perennial 20+ goal scorer and is only 22...the entire haul from the trade won't match his production alone (more or less giving up an additional 2 prospects). Do we have a mysterious 1st/2nd line winger waiting in the wings I'm unaware of?

Saad was looking for north of 6 million according to Eddie O. Hawks couldn't afford that and if some if some did offer sheet him, all we'd get back is picks.
