It's too early to make that assessment of "better". I do think Stan did the best he could given the circumstances. Talk to me in November about how good they are.

Better than the lucky cap squeezing playoff team is different though than being better than the general regular season team they fielded.

I think the Hawks have proved that regular season matters insofar as qualifying for the playoffs, but seeding matters little. I don't want our top minute guys to play balls to the wall for 82-games - save it for the playoffs.

In fact, I'd start giving Hossa "senior days" as he gets older.

Yes, I think that two rules need to be amended from the NHL.

The bullshit that leads to Hayes, Reilly....and the cap swelling injury rule allowing you to stack an over cap playoff team. If somebody is out for season, ok....but I don't find pleasure in a Kane/Toews injury allowing us to stack 10,000,000 extra cap at trade deadline and then have everybody for playoffs. I don't think its fair. It nearly backfired on us and is probably at least likely to do so just like free agency would or does to the redskins, toronto maple leafs every year.

But still....it isn't a "fair" rule unless the cap swelling player is to remain out. In my opinion, if you want the "injured" Kane or comparable player back, then salaries should be readjusted so you are under the cap. You shouldn't get to add a player like Vermette to every playoff roster because of the luck of injury timing.

Yeah, that's not how the long term injured reserve cap relief works at all, but don't let that stop you.

Thus far, the Hawks have lost a hell of a lot of skill and offense.

The rarity of the situation. Tell me how often this situation has occurred? It requires someone to get hurt before the trade deadline (to have playoff impact) then that player to miss all the season until the playoffs begin. It's a blue moon oppertunity that can't be "faked" either by regulations checking.

Just like with the serious injuries of permanent LTIR guys like Pronger/Horton/Savard who would be in severe danger if they played. The league doesn't just accept when you say oh you're doing X, okay. They approve every little deal of trades and contracts picked out together. They would let it be known if they thought a BS use was being pulled.

And the Reily/Hayes stuff shouldn't be prevented, there should just be stricter compensation in the scenario. It's more unfair if you make a guy never able to be free from the rights of a certain team. It doesn't seem you list Tikinov as an issue, is him playing for several KHL years until his Coyotes rights expire different enough to not be an issue.

Provided that they're able to re-sign Kruger, I'm a huge fan of this team's center depth. And we haven't said that much over the last 5 or 6 years.

If we sign Kruger....and kinda.

It sounds like Tikhinov, Dano (hasn't played since jr and said it would be hard), and Teuvo are all long shots. Shaw.

It seems to me we have 3 NHL centers with Kruger, a bunch of marginal's, and McNeil/Danault.

Without Kruger we could be in dire straights.

What am I missing?

I'm gonna die and go to heaven if TT ends up married to Kane for life at 2C. #lifepartners #pride With Bickell. hahahahah I'll be laughing. screaming nintendo.

Q be crazy but whatever. He'll try em all. TT is a sick player, a savant if you ask me. Look at him. He's a kid. A boy child who came out of a freezing river somewhere in scandanavia as a nomb child. He's a fucking angel from heaven sent to the blackhawks, a little cherub face. We should dub him the cherub. From the netherlands of spacetime, I wish I was better with PAINT or something, I would show you a cherub with his face on it. He's like that little love elf, that arrows people.

I wanna pinch his cheeks and play the harp as the Ice Girls suck him off. Thats what I would do if I directed one of those things. Foreign sports star. Shameless cherub porn.

I think that they are going to regret moving Saad. I hope they get him back not to far down the road.

Saad only has himself to thank for the trade. Had he actually talked with his agent instead of letting him just go full tilt wanting such a large contract he might still be here. 4 million for 2 years would of probably kept him here.

I smoked my entire stash, the cloud still settles in the mountains around Boulder, CO, and my nervous system tingles from overstimulation. Fried nerves.

Some of us like to take hitting bottom to deep sea diving.

After a week of inhaling smoke 24/7 I shook it off and ran 5 miles today. Feel like a million bucks, don't try that on your booze benders.
