Seabrook can thank Kane for the extension....with the shit storm he's created, the Hawks want/need some good feeling press and extending Seabrook (as opposed to moving him out/not resigning him) will make RK the fanbase gods happy as well as giving them something else to talk about

Seabrook can thank Stan Bowman for the extension... because Stan Bowman traded the only similar depth behind him that would be worth considering and judging for 1 season of play before you agree to signing Seabs.
The Kane concept has zero to do with anything. Without Johns/Paliotta anymore at least being hopeful fill ins, the depth of that spot is too fragile to not want to extend Seabrook.

Good ole Seabs. The most over rated blackhawk defenseman of all time. Guy cant skate and if not playing behind duncs or with him? Would be nothing more than Willie Mitchell junior.
Fuck sakes Oduya is a better overall defensive player than Seabrook. Just because the guy can shoot a puck onto the net in overtimes when teams and goalies are exhausted doesn't mean hes hall of fame bound.
Good team leader though and def deserves the A but yah willie mitchell junior.
