Sorry to all you Castro defenders these past several years. It must sting that Castro stunk and was benched but even more, that the Cubs success is partly attributable to his benching.

The experts that you are referring to will never admit it. They're too busy telling everyone how smart they are. Some of us, however, had the intelligence to realize that all of Castro's good qualities were unfortunately negated by his mental mistakes and his lack of hustle.

Some of us also realized that that Maddon would not put up with this stuff in the long run. A championship team would never have a SS that boots routine plays. Unfortunately, the time has probably passed where we can get anything of significant value for him.

You do realize he was batting .300 the 8 games prior to being benched, right? The Cubs started their winning ways before he was even benched...... the whole team has played better...... any combination of Castro/Russell/Coghlan for the past few weeks and the Cubs would have the same record.

Past several years for "defenders?" C'mon man, you can't deny that you loved the guy before, you were on his bandwagon after his first 2 all stars.

So while most fans are concerned about the team WINNING, you're more concerned about saying "I told you so?" Some fan you are. If you're a Bears fan I bet you're the type of "fan" that HOPES Jay Cutler fails this season instead of wanting the Bears to WIN with him.

Oh yeah, 3 hits tonight for Castro and the rest of the players had no more than 1.

The only one that has a right on this board to say I told you so is me and I am not saying it.
