Just some fun facts to show just how good the NLC division is ........

If the Cubs play 500 ball from here out they are on pace for 100 wins. The Bucs are still 4 games ahead of us. But the Cards are on a blazing pace to win 110 games if they play 500 ball from here out!

Chances are the Cards will play better than 500 ball the rest of the way. The Bucs and Cubs will probably play better than 500 ball as well. Could there actually be 3 teams over 100 wins in the NLC????? Has this ever been done before?

Could the Cards actually set the single season record for wins? We could be looking at something special with the rate these 3 teams are on. This could also put the 1 game series on high alert as well, imo.

Stay tuned ..............

How do you figure the cards are on a 110 win pace? Not trying to be a dick but they are currently at .646 win%. 162 * .646 = 104.6 wins. Also, how are the cubs on pace for 100 wins at .500 ball? There's 33 games left and they have 74 wins. They'd have to win 26 of 33 to get to 100 wins. Think your math might need some double checking.

Yeah, you're right. LOL @ me. My math was fine. I just used 182 games for a season. Combined the MLB and NBA seasons, I guess. I blame it on a long day and a few beers, but I'll take my lumps. I was also excited about Jake's No hitter.

And not to try to save face..... still an impressive division this year. Beck, you're a gentleman. As far as some of you others ......... :flipa:

Keep math checking. 162+82=244

My daughter had her second day of Kindergarten today and started addition/subtraction. Would this be a good thread to help her show how applied mathematics works?

You're trying too hard. I figured off a 182 game season, not 162. Simple mistake, but I'm glad I can amuse you guys. I'm not surprised you try so hard to make it a big deal, but I'll be glad to match wits with any of you guys here. Unlike you guys, I can laugh at myself for making a simple mistake.

The funny thing is .... the numbers I posted should have been easy to conclude that I used 182 games. The fact you throw out 244 games shows that maybe you should brush up on your math. How's this for a math formula..... Sox record < 500?

I assume he meant the 100 from baseball and 82 from NBA instead of 62.

Again Beck, a gentleman. That's exactly what I did. It doesn't surprise me that you figured out what I did and some of these other guys didn't.

I'm not the one saying I added the NBA schedule with the MLB schedule and came up wih 182. BTW, make mine a medium please, large fries though.
