This may just be the offensive lineman in me speaking, but Dysert is fucking horrible and I would have called time out and cut him on the spot after the play Grasu was penalized on. You cannot delay a screen pass too long, no matter how much of a hero you think your fourth string QB ass is, because the big uglies are going downfield and have no way to know if you have gotten rid of the ball. This has nothing to do with his knowledge of the playbook or anything like that but is just football 101. Cut the bum.

I actually do. This 4th pre-season game doesn't matter as much as people think.

I remember when McCown lit the Browns years ago as well as Armando Allen....yet they were sent packing to the practice squad. I don't think tonight's game meant a whole lot.

I'd hope we can find better than Leno on the wire after and then replace him. He's been shit in both run and pass. Kid gets in the spotlight and just covers his eyes.

With Clausen having a concussion, wouldn't they have to carry 3 QB's for a couple of weeks, at least? You can't go into the GB game with just Cutler a guy that is fruit loops in the head.

They are going to be very active on the waiver wire...will probalby bring in som new DB's and OL

Definitely think that's true. I was more saying that I don't think they can cut Leno or Vereen until they after they find their replacements. So the Bears would have to cut to 53, then work on signing their replacement, then cut Leno and/or Vereen. So a few days after the initial cuts. Hopefully.

I am so depressed when I look at the players who will make the team in the secondary, when we may have to cut a decent D-Lineman or RB.

I thought we would upgrade the secondary after an offseason, but we have downgraded for sure. They were old, but losing Tillman, Jennings and replacing them with no-names will hurt...even Conte as a backup would help at this point.
