Seriously, we are an embarrassment to the league, the great people of Chicago and to ourselves.

Hauptman is too egotistical to ever sell and too dim-witted to bring this organization back together.

Toyota Park is in a shit location and no amount of CTA options they could ever add will fix that... it is in the middle of nowhere relative to the city.

Chivas fold and a week later a new team replaces them with a celebrity/sports powerhouse ownership group, even a fraction of that would be hella lot better than Dollar Menu Andrew Hauptman.

I don't care if we go a couple years without a team and at this point our championship history is redundant anyway, just get us a real team.

I heard NASL is bringing back the Sting in the next couple years (90% chance perhaps), it will suffice until our time comes again.

Just please get us a real owner.

I guess Chicago just isn't a soccer city. Kind of like St Louis isn't a football city.

Not necessarily. Any city can be a good MLS city... with competent ownership.

This is Bill Wirtz type stuff going on.

Bridgeview doesn't help either

I'm a strong believer that if a team is from a certain city (eg Chicago) they should actually play in said city.

That being said, at least the Fire don't play on the South Side.

Matter of getting a stadium in the right spot.

Sweetheart deal from a suburb and no effort from the city, you pounce.

Unfortunately for Chicago, came just a few years before the MLS surge which could have put them in a better location.

The Fire have a dedicated fan base when they aren't so goddam incompetent. Hopefully the new regime will make things better. Can't do much worse.

And not to detract from the Fire but I'm genuinely excited about the possibility of an NASL team around these parts.

Or Atlanta being a hockey city?

Serously sucks that the Fire are becoming the Oilers of MLS.
